Guess the Gender Party

Kennedy loves to party. With her ability to dream up great ideas, cook, sew, and a little independence, she rallies the troops and VOILA! PORDEE TIM WOOHOO! (party time woohoo!)

She and Jasmine lay in bed and talk for hours after we send them to their rooms for the night. My leniency usually shows itself in this one thing because I treasured hours and hours of conversation with my siblings after my parents sent us to bed.
So they laid in bed plotting this party for me and the baby the other night. Tre made the pictures and he and Kennedy put up the streamers.
Kennedy made this little bag with a pillow and a stuffed toy for the baby.
And then she made pancakes and even made the syrup this time. I don't know what she does different than I do, but her pancakes are delicious. This kid is a natural born cook. So I undulged and instead of my Raisin Bran, ate delicious pancakes and homemade syrup. Yummy.


The general concensus is that we're having a boy, with no scientific reasoning, it's just what we're all expecting and boy will we be surprised if we have a girl! But we'll be happy no matter what.

guard dog

  This dog is a fierce opponent of mine. For over a year I have avoided the last leg of my two-mile walk because of his ferocious bark. I have a fear of dogs from childhood that is pretty irrational, but I am able to reason myself out of running scared, sometimes. Instead of walking to the end of his block, I would just retrace the distance over an area that was dog-free. It felt silly, but it kept me safe. Then one day there were two walkers ahead of me that managed to get to the end of the block with no sign of attack. I could hear the dog barking, but he didn’t approach, so I assumed there was an electric fence. Oh the joy I felt at this discovery! I began to shed my fear and walk freely to the end of the trail.  I was so happy about my newfound freedom that I decided to write about it. Hi, have you met Dale? Than you know why this picture shocks me everytime I look at, it's like I'm seeing it for the first time. So I'm praying that I'll have at LEAST one writing project done by next spring. With the new home schooling goals, I don't know how practical that is, but without a forty hour commitment to working every week, starting in October, I'll have a little free tiME! WE GOT THE JOB!!! Dale interviewed today. We should have a reporting date in October. Thank you all, with all sincerity, for your prayers for us and the timing on this crazy thing. It has been worth the wait- for this. If we had not been forced to wait the past months, Dale would have gone into the interview totally unprepared, overweight and out of shape. But God...
